Last night a group comprised of German and Palestinian youth performed Beethoven's sixth symphony, the pastoral symphony, in the Old City of Ramallah.
The best thing about it was watching the Baladna Ice Cream man walk around with a battered, duct taped cooler full of ice cream bars, croaking out the announcement of ice cream the way they do here, and bending down to let eager little hands grasp their favourite flavour.
The outdoor concert was well attended and refreshing after a 36 degree day.
